Billed as “the feel good show of the year”, international hit show Boys in the Band will appear at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on May 19.

In what is a historical journey through 50 years of music from the biggest boy bands of all time, this high energy, all-singing, all-dancing concert includes iconic songs from The Beatles, Jackson 5, The Bee Gees, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Righteous Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Queen, Elvis, Take That, Backstreet Boys and Australia’s own Cold CHisel, Crowded House and John Farnham.
Boys in the Band is a show with superstar credentials performing alongside Bon Jovi, Pharrell Williams and Maroon 5 at the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix.
As well, they have performed at theatres around the globe such as Marina Bay Sands Singapore and Mandela Theatre Johannesburg.
Home tours have included Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, Arts Centre Melbourne, the Star Gold Coast, Sydney Taronga and Melbourne Zoo Twiligt festivals.
Avid cruisers will recognise them from special guest performances on board the Royal Caribbean, Princess and Celebrity Cruises.
Produced by SMA Productions, the show stars Hugh Barrington (We Will Rock You), Mike Snell (Boy from Oz, Wicked, Legally Blonde), one of Australia’s most successful commercial dancers Tom Struik (Kylie Minogue, Will.I.Am) and rising star Justin Reynne.
The show is backed lived by the band The Players and was created in-house at SMA by industry heavyweights Dale Burridge and David Malek.
Songs include classic hits Can’t Buy Me Love, Let It Be, Hey Jude, Blame it on the Boogie, Jailhouse Rock, You’re The Voice, Unchained Melody, Bridge Over Troubled Water, You Should Be Dancing, Staying Alive, We Will Rock You and medleys of the biggest hits the world has ever known.
Boys in the Band performs at BMEC on May 19 at 8pm and tickets are available online at www.bmec.com.au, with tickets starting at $20 for students and ranging to $146 for a family.
