The 32-year-old was diagnosed with melanoma and had surgery to her face to remove it, then a cervical cancer diagnosis.
She received the all-clear after a hysterectomy eight weeks ago.
“It doesn’t feel real,” she said of doctors informing her of her cancer diagnosis.
“It’s when you tell your family that it becomes real.”
Ms Roberg’s children Jai, 14, Nina, 12, Lucas, 8, and Isla, 7, were her carers during her treatment because the rest of her family was in Victoria.
“My 14-year-old, she’s amazing, she’s seen things a kid her age shouldn’t have to see,” she said.
“I’m so proud of them.”
It was her children’s idea to take part in the 2018 Orange Relay for Life on Saturday.
All five walked the inaugural lap reserved for survivors and carers, with the youngsters carrying the banner at the head of the procession.
“It meant the world to me and it meant the world to them,” Ms Roberg said.
