Developed by Blayney’s Michael Baker, Chris Corbyn and Greg Mitchell, the show is unlike any other in that there are no restrictions as to what can be shown.
From FJ’s to AMG’s, Adelaide and Ogilvie streets were lined with all sorts of cars either heavily modified, restored to their original glory, or were pristine and brand new.
Mr Baker said the lack of restrictions and casual attitude was why it was so successful.
“There’s no entry fee, we don’t limit which types of cars are here, it’s simply an opportunity for those that like cars to come and meet like-minded people,” he said.
For Greg Harvey of Orange’s Gnoo Blas Car Club, the casual nature of the event was appealing.
“There’s no police and no council, so it’s just a really relaxed chance to see a lot of cars that you won’t see at a lot of shows,” he said.
Mr Baker said that the numbers were much the same as last September’s Father’s Day meeting and that they’ll be looking to reprise that event again this year.
“We don’t have a date confirmed for this year but we’ll be looking at doing something again in Spring,” he said.
