This is why I wear white shirts during the hot months of the year.
Why then, do so many new homes have brown or grey, galvanised iron roofs?
This has puzzled me for some time, and I hope that someone can provide an answer.
Our home has a green (very faded) tiled roof, with a large extension at the back with a galvanised, iron roof.
Some years ago, I painted that large roof area white, as one of a number of low-cost ways of keeping our home cool as temperatures rise.
Have other readers done this also?
