It is reported that Bill Lamers has sought an explanation. I’ve not been able to find a record of his enquiry, but am happy to respond.
Petrol prices vary between locations and 7-Eleven always aims to be competitive in each local market.
We know that consumers want to be more in control of the fuel price they pay, and want to be able to get a good price for their area regardless of which of our stores is more convenient for them.
7-Eleven invested in developing a world-first fuel app that lets our customers lock in our best local price at 7-Eleven when they see a great price, and then redeem it at any of our stores Australia-wide within the next seven days.
More than one million consumers have downloaded the 7-Eleven Fuel App and in the two years since its launch and have saved more than $4.5 million.
Locals in your area are the biggest redeemers of 7-Eleven Fuel App fuel price lock vouchers in the country through our Bathurst, Orange, Kelso and Lithgow stores. They have saved approximately $100,000 in 18 months.
