A MOTORIST who was banned from driving until 2042 was charged by police after being caught behind the wheel of an unregistered vehicle on the weekend.

On Sunday a 23-year-old man was charged with driving whilst disqualified and using an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle.
Police say they observed the man driving at an excessive speed and attempted to stop the vehicle.
They allege the vehicle stopped on James Ryan Way, at which point the man advised police he did not have a current licence.
Further investigations revealed that he had been disqualified until 2042.
The man was issued with a court attendance notice to appear before Orange Local Court.
VEHICLE STOLEN AND DISCOVERED BURNT
In an unrelated matter a vehicle was stolen from a property on Underwoods Road at Borenore between 10.30pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday.
A house at the location was broken into and a number of items were taken, including car keys and tools.
The keys were then used to steal a white Hyundai Tucson from the location.
The vehicle was later located and had been destroyed by fire.
PAIR CHARGED WITH AFFRAY, OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOUR
Meanwhile, on Saturday a 29-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman were charged on Saturday with affray and offensive behaviour.
Police say the women were involved in a physical altercation at Sir Neville Howse Place.
The pair were issued with notices to attend Orange Local Court on Monday.
COMMODORE TAKEN FROM SAMPSON STREET
Late last week another vehicle was stolen from Sampson Street.
The theft occurred between 11.30pm on Thursday and 11am on Friday.
A Silver Commodore was taken from the location and police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
