Brinn Jackett wrote us a letter pointing out that while drivers might be trying to help when pedestrians are using medians to crossing the road at roundabouts, stopping prematurely can be more of a hindrance than a help.

While some comments indicated crossing was difficult at some roundabouts and giving way could be a good thing, the vast majority agreed with Ms Jackett.
Some believed designated crossings were needed.
As she said, obey the rules and unless they’re elderly or a child, let pedestrians fend for themselves.
