About 2.30pm on Tuesday, May 2, a 62-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle from behind as she was riding a bicycle east on The Escort Way at Borenore, about 14 kilometres from Orange.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render assistance to the injured woman.
She was taken to Orange Health Service with arm injuries and has since been released.
Crash Investigation Unit officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
In particular, investigators are urging anyone that sights a 1997-2001 model Holden Rodeo with damage to a passenger side mirror to contact police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
