With two former NBL MVPs in Jerome Randle and Kevin Lisch already contracted for the Kings back court next season, sharpshooter Cadee will seek more opportunity elsewhere.

"After much deliberation, I have made the decision to become an NBL free agent," Cadee posted on Instagram.

There are suggestions the 26-year-old may link with the Brisbane Bullets, coached by Boomers mentor Andrej Lemanis who won gold with Cadee at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games on Sunday.

"This has been the most difficult decision of my career, but I believe it is time for me to challenge myself and move in a different direction," Cadee said.

"The Kings back court is in outstanding hands with Kevin and Jerome, both of whom I respect greatly and loved playing with.

"I am extremely thankful to the club, ownership, support staff, the coaches and my teammates who I will always consider friends and mentors."

Cadee made special mention of Kings coach Andrew Gaze, who came under extreme pressure as his team missed the post-season in both of his first two years at the helm.

"I would especially thank Andrew for what he taught me about the game, and his friendship," he said.

"I respect his coaching, loved playing for him, and know the team's future is bright in his hands."
