Bindi Irwin has taken a stand on a woman's right to choose and says more needs to be done to address the "elephant in the room".

The 19-year-old, who met Prince Charles on Queensland's Lady Elliot Island on Friday, said she admired the heir to the throne for taking such a brave position on the world's growing population.
Ms Irwin said it was an unpopular topic but one that needed to be discussed.
"It's kind of the elephant in the room that everyone seems to be ignoring, but if you look at any problem facing our world today it all seems to stem from our ever-expanding human population," she said.
Ms Irwin said women need to be given the option about whether they had one child or 10.
"It's something where a lot of women don't get to choose," she said.
"They live in areas where they have two dollars to spend on food and it's challenging to feed 11 children when you have two dollars."
