William James Marshall OAM who was better known in Orange as Bill, served as town clerk for 15 years, overseeing many important additions to the city during a period of growth and prosperity.

Mr Marshall had an honourable reputation of impartiality and demonstrated professionalism in his life, with Orange reaping enormous benefits under his stewardship.

I look forward to presenting his family with a certificate in the near future to mark the public recognition of his achievements.

MY office has received a steady stream of complaints regarding the NSW Government’s plan to knock down and rebuild Sydney’s stadiums, which I vehemently oppose.

My constituents and myself find it difficult to come to terms with the huge sums of money to be allocated to the project when many rural communities in my electorate are in need of critical funding for roads, hospitals, and schools.

I encourage my constituents to keep up the pressure on state government by contacting my office.

LAST Saturday I was pleased to be included in the 75^th celebration for the March/Clergate Brigade of the Rural Fire Service and presented recognition certificates to the volunteers.

This small but dedicated group of volunteers have made an enormous contribution protecting the local community over seven decades, with the longest-serving member volunteering for an amazing 58 years.

CLUBS and other organisations are an integral part of the social fabric of small communities in my electorate with volunteers giving freely of their time to improve the quality of life in their towns and villages.

So it was with great pleasure I was able to visit Yeoval last Friday and hand over cheques of $15,000 to the Yeoval Men’s Shed and $16,280 to the Yeoval Golf Club, after I supported their bid for upgrades and improvements through the Community Building Partnership program.

Molong Bowling Club also benefited from the 2017 round of CBP funding, and with the funds I presented, the club will use the grant of $20,000  for upgrades to promote a more family-friendly atmosphere for the community.

I encourage all clubs and organisations to apply for the next round of funding which is open from April 23 (earlier because of the 2019 election) and I can provide you with the paperwork and work closely with you to assist with this application.
