A range of technical specialists are currently onsite assessing the situation.
Inspectors from the Resources Regulator are onsite monitoring the situation and working closely with other agencies, including NSW State Emergency Service, NSW Police and the Dam Safety Committee.
The incident occurred at approximately 6.30pm on Friday.
