The City of Orange Brass Band’s 11th Annual Brass Celebration coincided with Courallie Park Child Development Centre’s Teddy Bears’ Day Out fundraiser.
Children and teddies were treated to face painting, cake decorating and a jumping castle, as well as a peep inside an ambulance thanks to paramedic Jock Cartwright.
“The idea is to familiarise the children with the ambulance and the equipment,” Mr Cartwright said.
“Hopefully that way if they ever do require our assistance they’ll be as relaxed as possible.”
Jack Flitcroft was the lucky recipient of a teddy bear from the paramedics just weeks after was unlucky enough to take a fall off a trampoline.
“I left my big teddy bear Chase at home because he’s too big to bring,” Jack said.
“He’s called Chase because that’s what I’m going to call our dog when I get him.”
