Orange City will have a crack at winning three of Saturday’s four grand finals – from under 12s up to under 16s – while Kinross will be trying to seal two victories, one of which would come at the greens’ expense.
The Orange City Hazelwoods face CYMS Green in the under 12s decider at PLC 1 while the Bradmans play Cavaliers in the under 13s at Bletchington Oval and the Warriors face the Kinross Super Kings in the under-16 grand final at Max Stewart.
Kinross’ other grand final appearance will be against Waratahs Terminators in the under-14 decider, at Anzac Park.
The eldest age group looks to be a battle for the ages, with the Warriors side looking to go back-to-back after winning last year’s under-14 title before moving up.
It also happens to be a showdown full of representative players.
Almost all of Orange’s under-16 side will be on show in the decider, including Kinross’ Alex Brien, Will Luelf and Ed Taylor and Orange City’s Blake Weymouth and Lachie Coyte.
The under-14 decider looks to be anyone’s too.
Waratahs did claim the minor premiership by just two points over Kinross, however the latter side won the only showdown the two outfits had during the summer.
That was a comprehensive 10-wicket too, which almost suggests the two blues should be handed the short odds.
Waratahs defeated Orange City Hookes in the semi-final while Kinross accounted for CYMS Gold in their final four match-up.
All of Orange District Junior Cricket Association’s grand finals kick-off at 8.30am on Saturday morning.
