Straightshooter is the brainchild of Orange’s Michael Middleton, who was simply looking for a way to improve his game and invented cricket’s famed Benda Menda, and based on testing can improve a golfer’s accuracy by upward of 82 per cent.

With the support of Dave Farrell and Jason Furness, both ex-Electrolux employees, Middleton and his eldest son Phillip traveled to Scottsdale, Arizone to gauge the American market’s interest levels which, along with Japan, makes up 65 per cent of the world’s golfing market.

Michael Middleton says the trip was a huge success and, after securing US-based partners, he and his Straightshooter team will launch the coaching device via the world’s largest crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter.

It’ll go live on Tuesday, March 13 – US time – and to coincide with that, Middleton will hold an information night at Duntryleague’s Cedar Room on Thursday, March 15 at 7pm (ADST).

With limited seating, reservations are necessary by noon on Wednesday, March 14.

It’s an invention Middleton has been developing for a number of years, and he first tested the device at Wentworth way back in 2015.

Since then the device has changed substantially in design, with test results also becoming more positive along the way.
