A MAN will appear in court next week after he was searched by police and allegedly found to be carrying drugs.

The 35-year-old was charged by Canobolas Local Area Command (LAC) officers with possession of a prohibited drug on Wednesday.
Police say the man was searched and found to have 0.3 grams of methylamphetamine and 0.8 grams of cannabis.
He was issued with a notice to attend court and will appear in Orange Local Court on Monday.
In an unrelated matter a 28-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm onWednesday.
Police allege the man assaulted a 27-year-old woman in a domestic violence-related incident.
He was issued with a court attendance notice and will appear before Orange Local Court on Thursday.
In other police matters in the Canobolas LAC:
- A break and enter occurred on Allenby Road between 5pm last Wednesday and 4pm on Wednesday. Entry was gained to a garage via the front door, and it is unknown what property was taken.
- A 38-year-old woman was charged with common assault on Wednesday. Police say the woman assaulted a 28-year-old woman. She was issued with a court attendance notice and will appear before court on April 4.
- A 53-year-old man was charged with common assault on Wednesday. Police say the man assaulted a 28-year-old woman in a domestic violence-related incident. He will appear in court on April 4.
