Mulberry Lane Vet Hospital back in winner’s circle at awards | Photos

SATURDAY night’s 2017 Banjo Business Awards fulfilled a goal for Mulberry Lane Vet Hospital as it picked up two honours.

They were its first awards since 2011, including Excellence in Small Business and Excellence in Professional or Health Services, with nurse Rhiannan Roth given a Highly Commended in the Best New Employee category.

Director Dr Judith Carney said the win was due to its accreditation as a hospital of excellence and her team.

“I was so proud of [Ms Roth],” she said.

Housing Plus was named Employer of Choice and human resources manager Vanessa Cliffe said the key was flexible hours and being able to tailor workforce training.

“They’re responding really well to that,” she said.

Yates Baker McLean director and Molong office manager Cally Woodhouse was named Business Leader and hoped to set an example.
