This Thursday, diners will get a taste of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons when the Colour City Orchestra perform the first of three shows.
The Union Bank owner Nick Bacon said he hopes Strings Under the Stars will allow more people to experience the orchestra outside of the traditional setting.
“I went to see the orchestra recently,” Mr Bacon said.
“We were so impressed that it spurred us to think laterally to help take classical music into a more accessible setting.”
Orchestra director Andrew Baker said the event allows them to perform for a different audience.
“It’s a chance to have people potentially experience classical music for the first time,” he said.
“With 17 violins, cellos, violas and double bases it will certainly be a rich sound – but not overwhelming.”
Performances are free but reservations are required – tickets available for preferred seating.
