Officers were called to the park, off Raines Place, at about 1.35am where they found a white Hyundai Excel on fire.
Then at about 3.10am, they were called back, this time for a white Holden Commodore.
Orange Fire and Rescue crews attended both incidents.
Both cars are believed stolen and the incidents follow another last week where a Mitsubishi Pajero was set on fire on Lone Pine Avenue.
Canobolas Local Area Command crime manager Detective Inspector Bruce Grassick the incidents were being treated separately from last year’s run of car thefts and fires for the time being.
“There’s nothing necessarily linking them,” he said.
Det Insp Grassick said the cars were not the same makes and models as those targeted previously, which tended to include Mazda Bravo and Ford Courier utilities.
“But we’re certainly conducting inquiries,” he said.
Strike Force Yiddah was established by the Canobolas Proactive and Property Investigation Team to examine the theft of more than 30 vehicles.
It remains active as it continues to review evidence from those incidents.
Four people have been arrested so far following the strike force’s efforts.
