Vietnam War veteran Vin Cosgrove and wife Nancy addressed year 10 students, who will be studying Australia’s wars as part of their history curriculum.
History teacher Adam Gray said it was unique for the students to hear from first-hand experience.
“The students really enjoyed it,” he said.
“They [the Cosgroves] were absolutely mobbed by students afterwards thanking them for sharing their personal experiences.”
Mr Gray said the touring high school program was a joint project between the Vietnam Veterans Association and the History Teachers’ Association.
