Having returned from his 2017 gap year in the United States, Dodds will slot straight back into the Centrals line-up for the crook Wes Roweth.
“Wes said he wanted to be named all week but [Thursday] night he said ‘nope, I’m out’,” skipper Daryl Kennewell said.
He said he hoped the pitch at Wade Park wouldn’t prove a problem after the under 13 carnival this week, but leggie Matt Ripps could have a field day in the rough.
“Hopefully they’ve rolled a new pitch but we’ll see how much grass Brucey [Bruce Cousins] has left,” he said.
“We’ve got the two spinners if need be.”
Kennewell was hoping to bat out the overs in their first longer game, but hopes they won’t have to spend 50 overs in the field.
“I’m hoping we can bowl them out before that, but Kinross have a tendancy to knuckle down so it’s easier said than done.”
