A man told police he had a screwdriver in his pocket so he could fix a door when he was searched at 3.30am on November 9 last year.

However, police didn’t believe him and he was sentenced in Orange Local Court on Monday.
Kieren William Bishop, 36, of Jindalee Avenue did not appear in court to face the charge of possessing an implement to drive a conveyance.
He was fined $1100 in his absence.
After police found the screwdriver when they spoke to a man with the alleged damaged door who said none needed repair.
