The under 21s nationals begin next Tuesday, but Divall’s open campaign with the apple isle kicks off before that at Goulburn.
Divall will be one of the youngest players in the Tasmanian side, but she enters their program with a wealth of indoor hockey experience having played with NSW at several, national title winning under 21 championship campaigns.
The Tasmanians kick-start 2018 with a clash with NSW at 12.30pm on Thursday, a Blues outfit that contains Bathurst gun Tasmin Bunt and Lithgow’s Amelia Leard, with a later game against Queensland from 6pm.
The green and reds then battle Western Australia and the ACT in back-to-back games on Friday in the lead-up to the finals.
Divall will then go from being one of the youngest in a side to boasting veteran status when the under 21s begin, at the same venue, next week.
NSW boasts some of the region’s best players in the form Divall and fellow Premier League Hockey young guns, Orange’s Chloe Barrett, Dubbo’s Emma Corcoran and Bathurst star Sarah Watterson.
Western Australia, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT will also send sides for the under 21s.
