Jimmy Barnes, will be signing copies of his new book, Working Class Man, at the Collins Booksellers shop from 2pm.
And Orange is an apt place for the star to visit as Barnes’ legendary band Cold Chisel was originally called, Orange.
But if you want to get your 15 seconds of fame meeting Barnes you had better be quick.
He will be at the shop for just 90 minutes.
Shop owner Margaret Schwebel said there was plenty of interest in Barnesy’s visit.
“I’d say we’re going to be swamped,” she said.
They have been making plans for lining the queue of fans down the adjacent Centrepoint Arcade.
“There might be people here who have never been in a bookstore before,” she said.
Mrs Schwebel said already about 30 copies of his book have been sold to people who cannot be there but were hoping he might sign them while he is in town.
Barnes’ new biography follows on from his previous work Working Class Boy in which he revealed a tough childhood.
His new memoir examines his life at the helm of Cold Chisel as it swept to the top of the charts from the 1970s.
All books to be signed must be purchased from Collins Booksellers Orange.
Everyone who has their book signed will go in the draw to win a signed copy of the vinyl record Jimmy Barnes for the Working Class Man.
