The costs council has imposed for water is an effective deterrent against wasting water.
The section in level 2 water use stating cars can only be washed on lawn is discrimination against a large number of residents who live in unit blocks which have no lawn, forcing them to commercial washers.
Environmentally speaking, the washing of vehicles on a lawn can lead to the spread of noxious weeds.
If you go on a drive to a noxious weed area then come home and wash your vehicle you may be causing a weed outbreak or seriously damaging the lawn you paid a large sum of money for and were given special relief to water.
Figures show most Orange residents are water conscience.
Does council want to change Orange from the Colour City to the city with no gardens?
