Chamber president Ash Brown said often businesses missed out on the recognition of the work they put in to develop, grow and be successful.
It’s not just about being recognised by peers in the business community, Mr Brown said being listed as a finalist and winning an award could help a business promote itself to customers.
Mr Brown said there were categories for every industry.
As well as recognising business, he said the Best New Employee award had been created for apprentices and trainees, but it’s not just for young people.
“It can mean someone who has moved from one industry to another,” Mr Brown said.
He said an example could include nominees who have worked a trade for 10 years before switching to retail, or started their own business.
Entry forms for the Banjo Business Awards can be found on the Orange Business Chamber’s website, www.orangechamber.com.au.
Nominations close on October 20.
