The two tradesman are no strangers to rodeos and bull riding after spending a few years on the circuit.
“We thought we’d jump back on for another crack at it,” Mr Jordan said.
He said bull riding was good fun and came with a huge adrenaline rush.
“There’s only one shot, if you fall off – that’s it. There’s no control you’re just a passenger,” Mr Jordan said.
“It’ll make it more enjoyable knowing there’s people that you know who are watching.”
Mr Allen said being physically fit was important but so was confidence.
“There’s no real strategy, you’ve got to rely on your upper and lower body strength,” Mr Allen said.
Saturday will be the first time his family will see him in action at a rodeo.
“It’s a bit daunting, a lot of people who are coming haven’t seen me ride,” he said.
“I hope most of Orange can come down, support [the rodeo] and the local blokes getting involved.”
