The club will hold a show and shine on Saturday, November 25.

It will be held inside the former Bunnings building at the Orange Homemakers Centre, which will also include food and wine stalls.

It will be part of a broader Classic Cars, Food and Wine event, lasting from the Friday to the Sunday.

The weekend will start with a cocktail party at the Central West Prestige Showroom on Friday evening, followed by the show and shine and Flashback Retro Dinner Dance and awards night on Saturday and a drive to a secret location on Sunday. 

Rotarian Tony Agland said a classic car could be “anything that appeals to you”, whether it is already a classic or could be considered one in the future.

“It can range from a 1918 model Chevrolet to a 2017 Mustang,” he said.  

Fellow Rotarian Joanne McRae said it was about how a car made people feel.

“A lot of people respond to cars they’ve grown up with,” she said. 

Money raised will go towards Orange and internationally-based projects – Mission Australia’s Benjamin Short Grove homeless aged care facility recently received $3510 from the club.
