But this time he will compete on a much bigger stage.
Jacobson was crowned the Dunlop Series champion last year, with a second placing in the 40-lap race at Mount Panorama one of his podium finishes on route.
His strong season came with another reward as well – a co-driver’s job in Sunday’s Bathurst 1000 for Prodrive’s Jason Bright.
Jacobson is one of four excited Bathurst 1000 rookies – Todd Hazelwood, Alex Rullo and Richard Muscat the others.
“I’m beyond excited to start my first Bathurst 1000. It’s one of those races everyone watches growing up, and to be able to race in it is amazing,” he said. “The crew have been working really hard to get the car prepared, and we should be ready to go out there and make an impression.”
