The girls routine followed Kath and Kim as they got sucked into the Australian Monopoly board game and came across characters including Russell Coight at Uluru, David Attenborough in the Daintree Rainforest and got sent to jail.
This year the boys followed the theme of the evolution of man starting with Adam and Eve and continuing through to the modern day.
Like the girls they also had a cameo by Russell Coight and a jail scene.
Other awards included the best dressed year 7 fairies which this year went to Lucy Dean and Laura King who dressed as fairy versions of Mario and Luigi and the winning year was year 11.
The dance-off is a highlight of James Sheahan Catholic High School’s annual day, which includes mass, a guest speaker and sports activities.
This year’s guest speaker Mark Hiney judged the dance-off for the first time and said he was impressed with the effort put into each performance.
