My wife and I, with mini foxy Miss Rosie, visited Yeoval on August 8. We camped at the Yeoval showgrounds
I just had to mention this camp for the effort involved by the locals. The organisers here have revamped this camp with water and power sites and the best amenities block we've used.
A quiet town, we stopped here intending to go further. The Post Office lady told us about the camp. We stayed two nights ($30), refuelled ($73) and had lunch at the cafe ($40): $143 into the town.
This small town – the childhood home of Banjo Paterson – is indeed a gem.
We tour north from Strathbogie, Victoria every winter in our 2001 JBA Falcon tourer, powered by a V6 Holden engine.
We tow our homemade caravan which, surprising to some, has a shower and toilet and a weight of only 450 kilograms.
See you on our trips.
