The ute was stolen from a Sampson Street property around 8pm on Tuesday, it was located ablaze around 6am on Wednesday at the Kinross State Forest.
NSW Rural Fire Service volunteers from Clifton Grove/Ophir extinguished the fire on Wednesday morning.
Canobolas Local Area Command duty officer Chief Inspector Peter Atkins said police encouraged anyone with information to come forward through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Orange police on 6363 6399.
