Transport to this year’s Broken Heel Festival will not be a drag for those travelling from Orange, with NSW TrainLink announcing they will put on a dedicated carriage service for the event.

The specially scheduled party train will leave Sydney for Broken Hill early morning on Thursday, September 7, and will stop at selected regional stations – including Orange – along the way to transport those with a penchant for Australian outback adventure, colour and fun, ‘Priscilla’ style.
True to festival form, the train has been dubbed the ‘Silver City Stilleto’ and will include its own resident drag queen, Maude Boate to entertain the wound-up wanderers.
Festival Director, Esther LaRovere said the dedicated train service was a great show of support for Broken Heel.
“This is a real win for the Festival,” Esther said.
“We’re getting more interest every year, and to be able to offer all those Queens and partygoers from Sydney to Parkes and all places in between an economic and entertaining option to get to Broken Heel is fantastic.
“We’ve had interest from people throughout that region so now we can say, ‘get on board’ quite literally!”
The NSW TrainLink Silver City Stiletto will leave Central Station in Sydney early Thursday, September 7, stopping at Strathfield, Parramatta, Katoomba, Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange and Parkes.
Festival travellers will be able to buy a travel/entertainment package for the three-day festival.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE BROKEN HEEL FESTIVAL
TICKETS are already selling fast for the now annual celebration of all things ‘fabulous’, with three action packed days of high voltage hilarity in the spiritual home of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Broken Hill.
Expect a handbag stuffed full of stunning Drag Queens and Drag Kings from around the nation plus, plus a crafted list of entertainers bringing cabaret, comedy, opera and live music to get the stillettos tapping and the faux fur flapping!
Headline acts, Alexsis Michelle and CoCo Montrese, stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race will grace the Broken Heel stage for the first time.
Helpmann Award finalist and former Australian cast member of Les Miserables and Hairspray, Trevor Ashley, will also bring great performance power to the ‘Heel’ dance card.
Hosted at the colourful Palace Hotel, Silverton Hotel and the shining Silver City of Broken Hill, the festival offers all of the authentic favourite haunts from the iconic film Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
Even the million-dollar stage show “Priscilla Bus” will be on display!
