Housing Plus' domestic violence crisis shelter appeal hits half million mark | Photos

Housing Plus’ push to build a crisis shelter in the city for domestic violence victims has reached the $500,000 mark.

Business development director Justin Cantelo said a total of $1.7 million was needed.

“It’s a very exciting time for us, and the community as a whole, who have been campaigning for this facility for quite some time,” Mr Cantelo said.

He said there had been a fantastic response from the city so far, including 20 businesses and community groups who had contributed, as well as supporters of the White Tie Ball.

Residents or businesses interested in arranging a fundraiser or to contact can contact Mr Cantelo on 1800 603 300 or by visiting www.housingplus.com.au.
