Seib fired 80 off the stick in tricky conditions in the 90th anniversary year of the WDLGA to lead the division one field heading into the club house late on day one of the 36-hole event.
Ex-Servcies’ Fran Lumsdon also shot well on day one, firing a competitive division two score of 91 off the stick, 69 net.
While Donna Doherty (Mudgee) and Carmel Morley (Dubbo) both produced stellar rounds to lead their respective division three and four competitions, at time of print on Tuesday, after the first 18 holes.
Doherty shot 99 and 73 while Morley produced a 109 and 68 to both remain in contention heading into Wednesday’s final round of 18 holes.
The WDLGA will run a foursomes event on Thursday to cap the 90th year on-course celebrations at Country Club.
