Between 5000 and 7000 people are expected to attend the 5.20am dawn service at Robertson Park, while 10,000 are expected to converge on the park for the 11am civic commemoration.
Three thousand school students are expected to march with veterans, descendants and servicemen.
Orange RSL sub-branch junior vice-president Chris Colvin said he looked forward to the dawn service most.
“It’s the main service for any veteran,” he said.
“It’s the solemn one, it’s the one we don’t fiddle with.”
Students from James Sheahan Catholic High School will lead the musical performances, supported by the Orange High School band.
