A critical incident investigation has been launched into the incident.
A stolen Hyundai SUV crashed near the intersection of Vale Road and Lloyds Road just after 1pm following a pursuit with police.
Two men, aged 35 and 33, suffered serious injuries and were taken by paramedics to Bathurst Hospital.
The 35-year-old man later died.
A critical incident team from Lachlan Local Area Command is investigating all circumstances surrounding the incident, including the pursuit.
That investigation will be subject to independent review.
No further details are available at this time.

Earlier police issued the following media release in relation to the incident:
“A critical incident investigation has been launched after two men were injured after a police pursuit.
“Just after 1pm today (Wednesday, March 29), a stolen Hyundai SUV crashed following a pursuit with police.
“One man suffered critical injuries and another man suffered serious injuries. Both were taken by NSW Ambulance paramedics to Bathurst Hospital.
“A critical incident team from Lachlan Local Area Command will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident including the pursuit. That investigation will be subject to independent review.
“No further details are available at this time.”
