The first away trip of the season awaits the Goldminers on Saturday afternoon when they face the Moss Vale Magic.
The Magic has played just the single match so far, a 76-65 win over the Liverpool-Macarthur Razorbacks.
Coach Andrew Osborn expects Moss Vale to give the Goldminers a test.
“They won the division two competition in 2015 and then played in division one last year. As a result of where they finished last year they’re back in division two,” he said.
“I know they have a number of Chevalier (College) players. Their firsts played in division two ISA last season and went through undefeated.
“Obviously the standard between ISA division one and two is huge … but I’m still expecting a tough game.
“The skill level will be infinitely better than the first two weeks we’ve played.”
The Bathurst men were ruthless in their routs of both Camden Valley Wildfire and Springwood Scorchers to already rack up 106 in points difference and sit on top of the table.
Goldminers will have to search for a win against the Magic with their Western Junior League under 18s players unavailable. Bathurst is hosting the second round of the regional competition this weekend.
Osborn has called up Tom Craft, Anthony Taylor and Nathan Germech to the Youth League line up help patch the gaps in the Bathurst squad.
