It was another huge week for the Orange District Junior Cricket Association, welcoming another 16 of the state's best junior sides for the 2016-17 Western NSW Under-15 Carnivals - which included the inaugural girls' tournament.

Blacktown proved too strong in the boys' division, taking down Mitchell Cricket Council in the final, while the ACT claimed the inaugural girls' shield with a grand final win over Western Zone.
The carnival had everything though and the performance of plenty in the girls' tournament was something to behold, none more so than Phoebe Litchfield and Abbie Uhr, who scored centuries for Western Zone on days one and two.
