The Give Me 5 For Kids Picnic Race Day will raise money for vital equipment for sick children throughout regional Australia.

Executive officer Gavin Pilossof said the event was a family-friendly day out at the races. “I think it’ll be a great day out and it’s all for a good cause,” Mr Pilossof said.

There are several marquee packages available for the day. The Orange Hawks marquee in the thoroughbred shed includes a drinks package, lunch and entertainment for $120. The Orange Emus Seniors Rugby Club trackside marquee includes a drinks package and canapes for $120.

There will be a private party area overlooking the finish line with access to a bar and canapes for $70.

The Angullong trackside marquee will include hot and cold canapes from the new restaurant The Smoking Brothers as well as a bar and music.

General admission is $20 per person and $5 for those under 18 and over 65.
