Players came out in droves last Sunday for the weekly mixed social, enjoying a wonderful afternoon of tennis and catching up at the same time.

They filled up half the courts at our complex, with the rest being taken up with court hires to the public, leaving the entire complex full for the afternoon.

It was really great to see our courts so full and it left committee man on duty for the afternoon, Col Munro, quite busy.

Wayne Scott will be the man on duty this Sunday to run social from 1.30pm.

Our ladies social is very popular as well.

This is held every Thursday morning from 8.30am-12pm and all the ladies who attend have a lovely morning catching up for a chat over a cuppa, while also enjoying the friendly tennis.

For any player who would like to come along and join in with us on either or both these social days, then you will be made very welcome.

Coming up in the school holidays we will be holding our usual Coaching Clinics for the kids.

Our three coaches will be out in force to cater for the crowd.

Brother and sister duo of Alison and Darren will commence theirs on Monday, December 19 and continue on until Wedneday, December 21 – from 9.30am-12.30pm.

Then coach Stuart will take over on Thursday, December 22 and Friday, December 23 – from 9am-3pm.

For any information or to register for either or both Clinics, then please phone the clubhouse on 6362 8020.

The State Junior Development Series (JDS) Tournament was held at Nepean recently, on November 12-14.

Two of our juniors qualified to enter.

Megan Neville and Hugh Payne played very well against some tough opposition from all over the state, considering the hot conditions over the entire three days of the Championships.

Both players managed to win a few sets and the matches they lost were very close.

All in all, it was a fantastic experience for them.

We had three courts going for the unisex social on Wednesday night.

ROUND ONE: Dave Foran and Peter Atkins 6 def Rod Buesnel and Brett Campbell 0.

Gordon Dunlop and Janet Davenport 6 def Robyn Dunlop and Col Parsons 4.

ROUND TWO: Aleks Radojicic and Megan Neville 6 def Rod Buesnel and Peter Atkins 3; Col Parsons and Okwuchi 6 def Brett Campbell and Robyn Dunlop 4.

ROUND FOUR: Dave Foran and Janet Davenport 6 def Gordon Dunlop and Rod Buesnel 3; Brett Campbell  and Megan Neville 6 def Peter Atkins and Aleks Radojicic 2; Sam Radojicic and Okwuchi 6 def Col Parsons and Robyn Dunlop 3.

Our presentation of Club Championship trophies will be held after mixed social on Sunday, December 11 at 6.30pm.

All those wishing to attend, please add your name to the list on the notice board in clubhouse. Call the clubhouse for more information if needed.
