Well deserved to both ladies.
At the recent Orange Ex-Services Club Sports Awards our club member Eleanor Crane shone through by winning the Senior Sportsperson of the Year award.
She came up against some tough competition namely Leanne Kennewell (hockey), Aitaua Holmes (golf) and Lee Stinson (bowls), who were all so deserving of this award themselves.
Eleanor’s resume for the year was full of achievements, with the standouts being; Ex-Services ladies singles and doubles club champion, squad member at the APIA International in Sydney, Astley Cup umpire, played in several tournaments around NSW, along with he dedication to training and preparation.
The main highlight was the receiving of scholarship offer to study and play tennis at college in America.
