Wikipedia’s page for the Orange electorate, which can be updated by the general public, had the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers candidate listed as the incumbent and “the party's first lower house seat at the 2016 Orange byelection”.
A Shooters, Fishers and Farmers spokesman confirmed on Friday morning the page had been rectified to take Mr Donato out as the incumbent.
A result was initially expected at 5pm on Thursday, but electoral officers are still conducting the official distribution of votes.
They are currently checking the preference flow from Independent candidate Scott Munro to Mr Donato and Nationals candidate Scott Barrett.
The two-candidate preferred result is expected to be 50.11 per cent to 49.89 per cent in favour of Mr Donato.
