Tedesco returned from a knee reconstruction to play in a trial game at Carrington Park in 2013.
On hand as the FIRLA orchestrated a 34-18 win over Western Rams, Tedesco was impressed at the depth on show from the Italians, a side he could line-up for at the 2017 World Cup, should his ambition of representing Australia at the same tournament not come to fruition.
“Obviously I’ve got a lot to do with Italy teams, I’ve played with them at the (2013) World Cup and have a close relationship with the manager and the coaching staff,” the NSW Blues fullback said.
“It’s good to get some international football going. It’s good for Italy to get some games under their belt. It’s great for the Western Rams to help them out.”
