Gates at the Orange Showgrounds open at 5pm, with tickets available at the gates and the action in the arena begins at 7pm.
There were more than 4000 people through the gates last year and bull-rider Mitch Tidyman said he expected the crowd to be even bigger this year.
“It’s growing, it’s going to be one of the biggest in the state,” he said.
Mr Tidyman won the John Crasti Trophy medal in 2012 and 2013 but this year is aiming to win the open bull-ride and open bareback horse ride.
He’s got form in open bareback having won it in 2014 and 2015.
When it comes to preparing for bull-riding, he said he was carried by belief.
“There’s a lot of mental preparation, you need to believe in yourself, you don’t go in half-hearted,” Mr Tidyman said.
“I’ve been riding for seven years and I’m still learning new things.”
