Showcasing Australia’s top freestyle trials riders, Flair’s show is a dynamic performance displaying trials motorcycles and BMX bicycles doing stunts such as 180s, 360s, transfers, stalls and backflips, all just metres from the crowd.
Australian National Field Days (ANFD) administration officer Mandy Emms said the Flair team was taking the field days’ entertainment offering to new heights.
“In the past we have kept our family entertainment very rural,” Mandy said.
“But, this year we have decided to liven it up a bit.
“I have seen the Flair show at other events and they definitely keep everyone on the edge of their seats.”
The Flair team will bring their custom-built set-ups and perform three action-packed, 20-minute shows each day.
Mandy said the stunt shows will be just one part of a packed program of free family entertainment.
“Irwin’s Jumping Castle and Cliff Hanger Slide will be on site, with free entry once again,” Mandy said.
“Last year’s nine metre-high slide proved very popular and Troy from Irwin’s has promised he will bring it again this year.
“There will also be two jumping castles for the young and young at heart.”
The jumping castles and slide will be located in the Family Entertainment area opposite the Working Dog Trial Area.
According to Mandy, a popular addition to last year’s entertainment were the stilt walkers from First Light Entertainment.
“We had so much positive feedback about them,” Mandy said. “They really interacted with the crowd and were a lot of fun, so we’re thrilled they are coming back.”
The stilt walkers will only be on site on Saturday, October 22, in and around the Central Avenue area.
They will entertain visitors with their variety of costumes and fun characters.
For those looking for more relaxing entertainment, Cowra musician Josh Maynard will be performing his brand of music on Thursday and Friday at the Bar Stage from 1pm to 5pm.
On the popular family day, Saturday, Josh will perform from 10am to 5pm.
Parents of young children will also be well catered for with the free Parenting Centre offering baby change facilities.
There is also a quiet place to feed, as well as free colouring and painting activities provided by the Premi Babes Association.
This year the Parenting Centre will be in a new location.
It will be in L Street, just off Central Avenue behind the ANFD building.
