Renny M will be guest performer at Millthorpe’s next Acoustic Sunday event at the Bowling Club on 21 August. Her songs will tug firmly on your heartstrings with their honest lyrics and haunting melodies.
As a special treat Renny will be joined by the very talented Christian Prusiak on bass and Mark Welch on percussion. She will also be launching her new EP ‘Everywhere I Turn’ at the event.
Tickets are $10 on the door, showtime is from 3-5pm, and lunch bookings can be made on 6366 3043.
TWO retirements from the executive of the Millthorpe Village Committee mean that this year’s Annual General Meeting and elections take on an extra significance.
Randall Edwards, who has served on the committee as treasurer, will not be recontesting the position this year. Randall has been responsible for far more than keeping the books during his long tenure with securing grants and raising donations.
Your ‘Murmurs’ scribe Laurie Williams will not be recontesting the position of publicity officer after six years. My main contribution has been the production of this weekly column.
We ask Millthorpians who would like to become involved in village life to consider nominating for these two positions at the elections. All positions on the executive, of course, are open for election – president, vice president and secretary as well – and nomination forms are available from the secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The AGM in on August 17 at the School of Arts at 6.30pm.
THE Millthorpe Garden Club will be visiting Paul and Jenny Hancock’s Drayshed Nursery on August 17.
Visitors are very welcome to join, but phone Kerrie on 6365 5150 for catering numbers.
To find the nursery, take the Bathurst Road from Blayney, turn right into Walcom Road, then right again into Kings Plains Road and follow the pink signs.
