On Tuesday, July 22, council voted to write to Premier Mike Baird about the issue after councillor Jeff Whitton moved the motion after receiving “hundreds” of calls and emails on the subject.
At the July meeting Cr Whitton said the letter would ask Mr Baird "to reconsider this decision to put the reforms in place".
At Tuesday night's meeting Cr Whitton asked about the status of the letter and was told by general manager Garry Styles that it had not been sent, despite current debate on the issue and legislation outlawing the sport expected to be announced soon.
"Why would councillors bother to bring up a motion if nothing is done?," Cr Whitton said.
Mr Styles told councillors a letter would be sent to the premier's office on Wednesday.
