Divisional returning officer Dimity McKenzie announced the results before Mr Gee thanked supporters, voters and electoral staff and promised equal representation to people across the electorate.
“For me, it’s getting down to work, representing constituents, no matter where they are or who they voted for,” Mr Gee said.
“I’ve got to move into the office and then I’ll be working on a range of issues. The Murray Darling Medical School is a priority, as is roads funding and our orchardists have issues with the backpacker tax.”
Mr Gee said he would work to improve local infrastructure.
