The house at number 83 is entered in the Christmas lights competition this year and the occupants decided to include Olaf in their celebrations due to a friend’s daughter coming to visit for Christmas.
Debbie Osborne organisedOlaf’s visit and said they decided to allow children to have their photo taken with Olaf for a gold coin donation so they could raise money for her son Brandon’s Relay for Life team Bad Angels, raising money for the Cancer Council.
Mrs Osborne said the family was dedicated to fighting cancer. She is a cancer survivor and has lost loved ones to the disease, while her husband Graham is a Cancer Council volunteer
She said they hoped to raise $2000 from the Olaf visit for the cause.
Olaf had his debut in Adina Crescent on Thursday night and Mrs Obsborne said he had already attracted a lot of interest.
“The big kids and adults are loving it more than little kids,” she said.
Olaf will be at Adina Crescent from 6pm until late.
